How to Host a Virtual Party
I don't know about you but, I am loving that we are starting to be able to socialize once again. This summer I will be enjoying bon fires, cocktails on the deck and hopefully with some of my friends and family! What gets tricky is that many of our friends and family that are in the high risk group may not be able to join us and it is still important to see them and do life with them so Virtual get togethers and parties will be what brings some of us together this summer. I have done some research and found great tips and ideas to make those virtual celebrations special.
Types of parties you can host:
Graduation, Birthday, Father's Day, Happy Hours, Anniversary, and Game Night just to name a few.
5 Steps to a Successful Virtual Party:
Decide on the platform that you will use. (Zoom, House Party, Face Time, etc.)
Invite- you can use Evite or Facebook to create an event and include the link to the party
Get your guests involved and engaged in the party by; creating a theme, asking everyone to dress up in a certain color or type of outfit. Give them details on the type of food and drinks to prep for the event for themselves. Encourage them to decorate the space they will be sitting for the party.
As the host of the party make sure that you have your space decorated and festive too.
Plan an activity/game- search on Pinterest for fun games and activities that you can do.
